okay due to popular demand, i shall take time off my busy busy schedule to blog about my birthday.
before i start, i'd just like to share this with you all, because it really cracked me up. hahaha.
Saw Mitchell the birthday boy ahha. I think he didn't have a clue that he was gonna get a surprise party at his house. - Taken from Melissa's blog.
Like DUH honey, it WAS a surprise you know.
okay anyway, woke up by myself (amazingly), more or less in sync with my mum, because as i was wondering why in hell would i want to crawl out of bed at that ungodly hour (it was about 9ish in the morning), she knocked and asked me to get up. which was wierd, because she it normally takes about half an hour of concentrated screaming at me before i leave my sanctuary, namely, my bed. so normally she won't bother waking me on the weekends. however, she did. which is
weird thing number 1.
but, i had already promised eugene that i'd go to turf, because he said i'd probably have to play, even though i wasn't named in the team. okay, so get out of bed, called eugene, WHO WAS ALREADY AWAKE (
weird thing number 2). then took a shower, packed my stuff, and left for turf.
reached early, so watched the girls do their warm-ups, then caught their match, followed by the mixed team match, and finally the mens match. and i didn't play, so i effectively went all the way to turf city to get sunburnt.
cleaned up, and then i realized i forgot to bring extra underwear. fuck. hahahah. but oh well, walked to the turf city shopping center, then i thought i left my sunglasses back at the pitch, so after being fucking worried, and rushing back to the field (and chain-smoking 2 sticks, sorry i was stressed), i remembered that i left it in another pocket in my bag. heex.
then went to far east, to look for eugene's jacket. i was rushing, because i THOUGHT i would be going to baybeats, to catch AVA. but then he was happily slacking there. (
weird thing number 3). so since i THOUGHT i was late, i decided that i should take a cab back home, to save time. which actually threw the plans into slight disarray.
so while in the cab, my mum called, saying that she may need me to drop by ubi on the way home, to pick up a cabinet. (
weird thing number 4). and then she called again to cancel it.
then nicole called, out of the blue, saying that she was near 85, and wanted to have dinner. which was
weird thing number 5. hahah. so went to meet her and trevor, with eugene. saw jill, and melissa, with jiahui, joy and all. then 'rushed' back home.
and as i was walking home, i noticed that my TV was on. which is the last
weird thing of the night, at
number 6. hahaha.
walked into my place, and the rest, as they would say, is history.
i'd like to sincerely thank everyone who showed up, especially those who slaved like mad just to get everything done. and no grace, i didn't cry secretly. even if i did, i wouldn't tell you, because it would ruin my tough rugby player facade, and secondly, if i told you it wouldn't be a secret anymore. but once again, thank you all very very much. you've all made me a very happy man. =)
cheers
Mitchell. 19-going-on-20, was once the world's biggest moron. Likes sports, especially rugby, soccer and basketball. Also pool, but some people don't consider that a sport. Hates studying, not academically inclined. RP. Rugger. Slave to fate, just like everybody else in the world. That's it. I think.
Sometimes, love is like making a tackle in rugby.
You might tackle your opponent, but if you go in half-heartedly, you could hurt yourself, or your opponent.
If you don't give her all your heart, don't expect her to give you all her heart.
But if you never go in at all, you can't just expect the person to fall straight into your arms.
If you never tell her, how will she ever know?
So the best way is to always go in hard.
Maybe the only way to ever succeed in love is to always give it your everything.
But sometimes you go in hard and miss anyway.
So don't expect it to always work out.
