hello all...since apparently i've got a reader who wishes to be unknown requesting me to blog, i think i shall...it's been a pretty wild few days...
dad arrived on the 20th of this month...saw me with long hair and proclaimed that he liked it...heh...
then it was x'mas...had some people over for the gathering i held...i think most of us had fun...talked a bit to some people...it IS the official time to spend with family, friends and loved ones after all, although for the life of me, i can't figure out why there should be 1 special day in the entire year for it...aren't most of us spending our daily lives with family, friends and loved ones already?
couple of days after that, my parents went overseas. guangzhou, to be precise. leaving me alone at home. which spells house party, in case you don't know me all that well. here's the surprising part. me, self-proclaimed spoilt brat, did house work. *gasp* like sweeping the floor, washing cups and throwing away rubbish. eh i know it ain't much but save it ok? another surprising thing. i cut my hair. *GASP* but not by much lah. only trimmed off about +-4cm. but enough to get rid of the split-ends and spoilt hair at the tips, and most of the bleached parts. feel like going to dye it again though. hmm.
parents coming back tomorrow night. going to miss the freedom, but then i guess it balances with missing them. hahah...filial son talking here...
thinking quite a bit of the topic of moving on recently. not just for me, but some of my close friends too. guess it's the season. perhaps everyone wants a lonely new year. hahah...but what i've learnt is that it's almost always better to move on as soon as you can, because the longer you linger, the more attached it gets. yes i know the feeling, no need to describe to me. and maybe another tip would be to get rid of the stuff that brings back memories. obviously, this is not meant as a be-all-and-end-all guide, just some random thoughts.
anywayyy, be happy with yourselves, people. get pissed drunk on the new year if it helps, but be sober for the 1st day of school/work/whatever. and don't drink and drive. studies prove that it's detrimental to health.
cheers
Mitchell. 19-going-on-20, was once the world's biggest moron. Likes sports, especially rugby, soccer and basketball. Also pool, but some people don't consider that a sport. Hates studying, not academically inclined. RP. Rugger. Slave to fate, just like everybody else in the world. That's it. I think.
Sometimes, love is like making a tackle in rugby.
You might tackle your opponent, but if you go in half-heartedly, you could hurt yourself, or your opponent.
If you don't give her all your heart, don't expect her to give you all her heart.
But if you never go in at all, you can't just expect the person to fall straight into your arms.
If you never tell her, how will she ever know?
So the best way is to always go in hard.
Maybe the only way to ever succeed in love is to always give it your everything.
But sometimes you go in hard and miss anyway.
So don't expect it to always work out.
